CAPA and 8D software that closes problems for good
Track every complaint, non-conformity and audit finding from containment to verified closure, with owners, due dates and a report your customer will accept.
Why corrective actions stay open
Every quality standard requires organisations to react to non-conformities, find the root cause, act to prevent recurrence and check that the action worked. In practice, many corrective actions are opened in a spreadsheet, assigned in an e-mail and forgotten until the next audit.
The result is familiar: overdue actions nobody owns, root causes written as "operator error", repeat complaints from the same customer, and auditors raising the same finding twice.
The Zefron QMS Portal gives each problem a structured 8D or CAPA record. Disciplines D0 to D8 guide the team from containment to root cause and prevention, each action has an owner and a due date, overdue items are visible to department heads, and closure requires an effectiveness check. Customer-facing 8D reports keep their own revisions.

|---|---|
| ISO 9001 clause 10.2 | Non-conformity and corrective action, with root cause and effectiveness review. |
| IATF 16949 clause 10.2.3 | Documented problem solving process; 8D is the common customer format. |
| ISO 13485 clauses 8.5.2 and 8.5.3 | Corrective and preventive action with verification of effectiveness. |
| ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 clause 10.2 | Incidents and non-conformities handled with the same workflow. |

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between CAPA and 8D?
CAPA (corrective and preventive action) is the general requirement in quality standards. 8D is a structured eight-discipline method for doing it, widely required by automotive and electronics customers. The portal supports both.
Can we use our own 8D format?
Yes. Numbering and report layout follow your format, and customer-specific 8D report revisions are kept.
How are overdue actions handled?
Owners get reminders, and overdue actions appear on department dashboards and in the QMS health score.
Can audit findings create a CAPA?
Yes. Findings from internal, supplier and customer audits can be followed up as corrective actions.
Is there a free demo?
Yes. Book a free 30-minute online demo and we will walk through an 8D using your own example.
